A must stop on the The Cliffs Of Moher Tour is the beautiful Doolin village with loads of history and heritage, it’s known all over the world as the traditional music capital of Ireland. By night its four buzzing pubs host spontaneous and rousing music sessions, and not to be missed on the evening tour to the Cliffs Of Moher – but by day it is a place of solitude and tranquillity where you can nurture your spirit and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Doolin Cave

The Burren and the majestic Cliffs of Moher are only a stone’s throw away, and one of the intriguing local attractions is Doolin Cave, home to the 7.3 metre high (23 feet) Great Stalactite, the longest free-hanging stalactite in the Northern Hemisphere.

Doolin Ferries

Hop on a ferry from Doolin port to the Aran Islands – visit the spectacular Dún Aengus fort on Inis Mor, get away from it all on Inis Meain or take a quick trip to the smallest island of Inis Oirr, only 10 km away.

Local Arts and Craft

Meet the makers in local art and craft shops and have your fill of top class local artisan food in one of the many buzzing pubs and restaurants available in Doolin. It’s my favorite stop on the Day Tour to The Cliffs of Moher

Visiting Doolin

  • Doolin is a small village on the west coast of Ireland.
  • It’s also known as a gateway to the the Aran Islands which seem to be just a stones throw from Doolin
  • The Cliffs of Moher are looming to the southwest of Doolin village.
  • Lisdoonvarna is not far away and has a Victorian Pump House

Use this service

Fergus was our driver and we had vague directions to a family member’s home but Fergus knew the area so well that he had no trouble finding it. In addition, he was funny and provided historical facts of the area. We couldn’t have been happier with the service.

Very professional and courteous service – would definitely hire again!

Fergus drove us to see the former home of our Great Grandmother in the Burren. Although he was hired to take us to a specific destination, he provided commentary along the way, pointing out historical and interesting places. He was warm, welcoming, courteous, professional, knew the area very well and provided good laughs along the way. We would definitely hire him the next time we are in the area!
