A question our guest often ask is  What to do in the Burren and so we thought we would use this page to inform you on the many wonderful things you can do in the Burren on a day tour.  The Burren is a wonderful place full of great places to visit and sights to see. Poulnabrone Dolmen

Poulnabrone Portal Tomb is the oldest dated megalithic monument in Ireland. Many people have found this visit to Poulnabrone to be a highlight of the trip. Even if  you’re  not a big fan of archeology and history this will be a great site to visit as it offers spectacular views.

An Aillwee Caves Tour is something we might suggest to the more adventurous customer of ours. Anyone with a hint of interest in caves will simply love the Aillwee Caves which also includes a Birds of Prey Center and  Cheesemaking Farm Shop!

A Visit to Lisdoonvarna

One of my our favourite stops is the small village of Lisdoonvarna, its a spa town and the gateway to the Burren, and a short distance on my way to the Cliffs Of Moher day tour. It has become the central meeting place for many people for well over a hundred years.

A must stop any tour of the Burren or on the way to or from the Cliffs of Moher this is the quintessential Irish village which normally consist of a pub, a church and a shop – this little village has so much Irish character you’ll be blown away by it

Hazel Mountain Chocolate Factory

A real genuine treat found in the foothills of the Burren – Hazel Mountain Chocolates is a quirky cafe that boasts gluten free cakes and pastries and is situated in a 1950s style cottage which is the front for a state-of-the-art bean-to-bar stone-ground chocolate factory and is a must stop for any self respecting chocolate lover on a tour of the Burren or visiting the Cliffs of Moher!

Caherconnell Stone Fort

The stonefort at Caherconnell is one of the many ring forts to be found in Ireland. The Caher (Stone Fort ) is one of the finest examples to be found in Ireland and is almost a perfect circular shape about forty metres in diameter, which is twice the diameter of the average fort.

The Roadside Tavern

This is a great stop if you are doing an evening tour of the Burren. You will hopefully meet Peter Curtin who is the owner and head brewer and get to sample some of his beer@ What a treat to find a craft brewer in the land of Guinness!

Greatest Tour Ever!

Our group of four took a six hour tour with Fergus Lally in late September from Galway to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. You could sit in the car with Fergus for six hours, just listening to him talk about Ireland……

Great Service

We used this service from Shannon to the Cliffs of Moher. We had a wonderful driver/guide, knowledgeable and friendly. He took us to the the most picturesque sites. Then another driver from Galway to Dublin with a stop in Athlone….
